Burning in Lincoln County is CLOSED due to Fire Season in Montana. Open burning outside of the Libby Outdoor Burning Control Area will tentatively open on October 1, 2026 pending current wildfire conditions. Within the Libby Outdoor Burning Control Area, burning through burn permits is currently closed and will resume on April 1, 2027. Please be careful when burning and follow the tips for burning located under the Outdoor Burning tab.
